The first-ever Women in Photography Grant has been announced by Leica Society International (LSI). This grant, which is open to all women photographers worldwide (where permitted by law), is made possible by LSI and Leica U.S. One grant worth $10,000 USD will be given, with $5,000 donated by Leica U.S. to help finish a personal project that is still in progress. Additionally, Leica U.S. will provide the grant recipient with a brand-new Leica Q2 camera. The grant's theme is "Celebrating the Human Spirit."

You are invited to submit a personal, ongoing project that demonstrates your potential for one or more of the following: excellence, compassion, perseverance, love, and courage We are looking for projects and stories whose narratives have the potential to motivate others to take action, to celebrate accomplishment, and to uplift all humans. These projects and stories should depict our inherent capacity to achieve greatness, positivity, success, and victory.

The deadline for submissions is April 19th, 2023, or the limit of 60 applications has been reached, whichever comes first. The deadline for submissions is March 8, 2023, which is International Women's Day. On May 29, 2023, the winning project will be announced. The submission guidelines and general information are provided below.

On a first-come, first-served basis, only sixty (60) applications will be accepted. The application requirements must be strictly adhered to by all applications. Any application that does not meet the stated requirements will be rejected.
