POLAROID: The Instant Image explores the instant photograph as both image and object. More than a picture, the instant print carries its own material logic—shaped by chemistry, scale, handling, and the visible traces of its development. Each work exists as a physical artifact, marked by immediacy and touch.

​This exhibition welcomes all analog instant formats, including Polaroid, Fuji Instax, peel-apart films, large-format 4×5 instant processes, and other legacy or contemporary instant materials. The focus is not brand, but materiality: surface, unpredictability, and the direct relationship between image, process, and time.

​Artists may submit original instant prints or high-resolution scans printed by Praxis at true instant-film scale. Sculptural works must be submitted as 2D photographic documentation. Created by Praxis Directors.
