Photobook Cafe and Rapid Eye Darkrooms are excited to launch our new quarterly Open Call series, beginning with the theme Forbidden Land. Join us in exploring the forbidden landscapes that shape our world.

Inspiration

The theme responds to Legendary British Photographer Fay Godwin, and her collections of photographic and literary catalogs, on the Governing Policies of land ownership within British Landscapes. Godwin had both a sophisticated landscape practice, addressing rural topics or regions, and a socialist and active environmentalist stand, revealing footprints of mankind's occupation and intervention on British Land.
