PFotoherbst Pforzheim – International Photography Competition

Travel and reportage photography is the main theme of the PFotoherbst (formerly Schömberger Fotoherbst). Photo series take us to the most remote corners of the world and tell us about the living conditions of people from all walks of life.

This internationally advertised competition takes place every two years (previously in Schömberg, and in the future in Pforzheim and Schömberg), and is open to both professionals and amateurs. A total of 20-25 series are selected for the exhibition. From the opening on September 25th to October 24th, 2026, all these paintings can be viewed at the "Alte Schlachthof" (Old Slaughterhouse) in Pforzheim, allowing visitors to be moved by the beauty of the images and the intensity of their content.

The deadline for submissions to the competition is June 28, 2026 (postmark). A jury will select the best images from the exhibited pictures; the winners will be celebrated at the closing event and receive the PFotoherbst prize money.
