Ten artists will be selected from the public by a panel of judges. Each of the ten artists will receive a production subsidy of 200,000 yen and will hold an exhibition at an assigned venue. The exhibition will be widely disseminated both domestically and internationally through various media publicity, the production of a catalogue, and more.

The judges will inspect the exhibition and select one award winner. The winning artist will receive a grant of 500,000 yen and will hold an exhibition as part of the official KYOTOGRAPHIE 2027 program.
