About:

AMPF – Matosinhos Association – from past to future, with the support of the Municipality of Matosinhos, promotes the IV BIENNIAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST whose theme is: “WOMAN AND SOCIETY”. The contest begins on June 1, 2022 and ends on August 31, 2022, with the aim of challenging the creativity of the participants in capturing images that they believe have to do with: "WOMAN AND SOCIETY".

2. Topic: “WOMAN AND SOCIETY”

The theme is always current, diverse, sensual and passionate. As it is difficult to portray the enigmatic soul of the woman, it is exciting to work on capturing the image of the feminine sensitivity of the young woman, the sweet woman, the mother woman, the working woman, the intellectual woman, the authoritarian woman, the wise woman, the artist, sensual woman and the thousand and one charms of women, A simple and beautiful detail is enough to convey a beautiful image of the world of women. (text by José Alberto Mota)

Women in today's society are increasingly present in all activities, performing important functions and in a responsible manner, their high merit and the outstanding results of the female presence, valuing women through images captured by camera lenses in their various professions and statuses, is this time the theme of this prestigious photography contest.

Knowing how to capture women in their fullness in today's society, that will be the proposed challenge. It is intended through the images to fix women and value even more their importance in a world that wants to be more modern and freer.
