About:

The Sant Adrià de Besòs City Council, the Municipal Accessibility Council and the Sant Joan Baptista Photographic Group are convening the 5th Isabel Rojas Photography Award.

The theme of this edition is disability (physical, intellectual and/or sensory) and the photographs can reflect any aspect of daily life (work, education, sport, leisure, tourism, culture, etc.). The works can be submitted until October 30, 2022. You can consult all the details about the format, calendar, requirements, etc., in the rules of the competition.

This Award is a tribute to Isabel Rojas Castroverde, from Adrian who lived and worked in Sant Adrià until her death due to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). He promoted the creation of the Municipal Archive that bears his name, fought to improve the accessibility of the municipality and for equal opportunities for people with functional diversity and worked tirelessly to make ALS visible, raise funds for to research the disease and to support the affected people and their families. A big fan of photography, this competition is a recognition of Isabel.

The award ceremony will take place on December 2 as part of the events celebrating the International Day of People with Disabilities.
