FREE ENTRY / Sirmione Photo Residency - Open Call 2026

The Municipality of Sirmione in Italy offers you a great opportunity: a two-week Photographic Residency on Lake Garda to produce a photographic project in complete freedom, supported by two international photography experts.

In a fortnight in October 2026 you will have the chance to develop and produce your own personal photographic project in Sirmione, taking inspiration from the many aspects of its charm.

You will be accompanied in this free-theme project by two international professionals from Magnum Photos: Andréa Holzherr, Global Cultural Director, and Ludovica Pellegatta, Partnerships Director - with whom you will be able to exchange ideas every step of the way.

And your project could even become a book! Sirmione Photo Residency is characterized by the great freedom that is granted to the participating photographers in imagining, proposing and producing their project.

Sirmione Photo Residency is a research and development residency in which photography can become the key tool to trace points of union between the different dimensions of collective life and translate into an opportunity for cultural and ethical growth of society.
