This prize, accompanied by a $10,000 grant, recognizes an artist or artist collective to highlight practices, across all media, that explore underrepresented or even invisible avenues of research, and that have the potential to enrich the imagination and meanings produced in art, as well as to shift aesthetic and social norms. The Polygone Prize also aims to promote and showcase the work of the finalists and the winner more broadly, while providing tangible support for their careers.
