FREE ENTRY / International Day of the Photography Inspired by Nicéphore Niépce

The International Day of Photography is an important day for photographers around the world to celebrate and recognize their craft. To commemorate this special occasion, we are launching a photo contest open call inspired by Nicéphore Niépce’s first photograph. We invite professionals, friends and experts to submit black-and-white photos taken from a view through a window.

To be considered for our contest, please ensure that your photos capture the spirit of Niépce’s work: capturing snippets in time that tell stories without words or context clues about what lies beyond the frame. The best submissions will demonstrate creative composition techniques as well as thoughtful use of light and shadow within each image’s boundaries. We look forward to seeing all your amazing entries!
