FREE ENTRY / Griffin Museum of Photography - Dog Days of Summer: Online Group Exhibition

Dogs have long occupied a unique place in our lives: as companions, workers, protectors, muses, and family members. The exhibition Dog Days of Summer invites photographers to explore the many ways dogs shape our experiences and imaginations. We seek photographs that celebrate, question, or reveal the complex relationship between humans and dogs. Our beloved canine companions deserve their moment in the sun too. 

With William Wegman's print as inspiration, the Griffin Museum is pleased to announce a call for entry for Dog Days of Summer, an online group exhibition curated by Crista Dix.

The Griffin Museum of Photography recently received a generous gift of photographic prints from a private collection. Among the treasures now housed in the Museum is the work shown here by William Wegman, whose photographs have captivated audiences for decades. Wegman is widely celebrated for his remarkably perceptive and often humorous observations of dogs, specifically the Weimaraner, creating images that reveal their intelligence, personality, and enduring connection to humans.
