In March 2026, Fondazione Capri launched an open call through its official channels, inviting all photographers, both professionals and amateurs, to explore the theme VIAGGI E MIRAGGI . Two hundred years ago, the Blue Grotto was rediscovered, a place that is magical in its own right, whose legend dates back as far as the time of Emperor Tiberius. The 2026 edition takes its cue from this very notion of rediscovery and the symbolic relationship with the sea: an invitation to travel, both real and imagined. Photography becomes a portal, a space of passage capable of leading us to distant, unexplored, or sometimes merely glimpsed worlds. Every image is a threshold, an “elsewhere” that seduces and disorients, calling into question what we believe we know. But every journey also carries with it the idea of ​​return. And it is precisely in this continuous movement between departure and arrival that the image finds its deepest meaning.
