About:

The Ankaria Foundation announces the third edition of the international Ankaria Photo award, with which it aims to encourage photographic production and research around new formulas and paths of this art in the age of the internet and intelligence artificial. The Ankaria Photo award, curated by Sema D'Acosta, will recognize two authors whose photographic projects or series are unpublished or are part of a project developed in the last three years. Artists who participate in the price may do so individually or within artistic teams. Ankaria Photo includes two prizes, one of 3,000 euros for the winning project and another of 2,000 euros for the second place. A representative work from the award-winning series by each author will become part of the artistic collection of the Ankaria Foundation. The deadline for submitting works or projects ends on May 27, 2024. The judge The person in charge of evaluating the quality of the artistic proposals will be Ricardo Martí Fluxá, president of the Ankaria Foundation; Saleta Rosón, patron of the same foundation; José María Luna, director of the Public Agency for the management of Pablo Picasso's Birthplace, the Russian Museum Collection and the Center Pompidou of the Malaga City Council, as well as patron of the Ankaria Foundation; Claude Bussac, director of artistic studies at Casa de Velázquez; Linarejos Moreno photographer, researcher and one of the winning authors of the 2022 edition and Sema D'Acosta, curator of Ankaria Photo. In its first edition, the Ankaria Photo award distinguished the artists Mayra Martell and Jon Gorospe, while in the second it recognized the works of Linarejos Moreno and Irma Álvarez-Laviada and granted special mentions to Ramón González Marazuela and Pablo Corvillo.
