Deutscher Fotobuchpreis - Open Call 2026/27

We are creating this prize for everyone who loves photobooks. For everyone who collects photobooks. For everyone who creates and publishes photobooks. For everyone who is involved with photography, photographic images, and photographic images in books. For everyone who works photographically in book form and reflects on and writes about imaging processes in illustrated books.

We are also offering this prize – and this is a call to all those who feel addressed above – to provide an overview of the past, present, and future of the photobook. This includes photobooks, photobook publications, photobook titles, illustrated books of a photographic nature, collections of theoretical texts on photography, etc., that, according to our terms of participation, are related to the German-speaking world.
